Luke Kornet Pours In Season-High 15 Points Off Bench
5 years agoChicago Bulls power forward/center Luke Kornet was thrust 25 minutes of playing time during Saturday’s win over the Detroit Pistons with Wendell Carter Jr. sidelined. Kornet took that time on the floor and parlayed it into a 15-point showing, which set a new season high in scoring; he went 6-for-13 from the floor overall, including 3-for-9 from long range. The 7-foot-2 big man displayed his marksmanship down the stretch last season for the Knicks and could become an intriguing season-long option should he see consistent minutes moving forward, as he also recorded six boards, two steals and two blocks against Detroit. Owners should monitor his minutes Monday against Boston, as he appears to have earned himself some keep in the frontcourt alongside Daniel Gafford.
