3 years agoMackenzie Hughes showed some signs of life at the WGC-Dell Match Play last week. He was eliminated in the Sweet 16 but there was this ability to hit some shots finally. It had not been seen enough all season. The Canadian golfer ranks sixth in putting at 0.73 strokes gained. After that, his around the green play gets neutralized by his driving and approach. Those are almost a net-zero effect (0.021 strokes). That number has to improve at least a little in tournaments. Hughes has missed the cut four times in six tries in 2022.
