6 years agoCharlotte Hornets guard Malik Monk continued his strong start to his sophomore campaign by scoring 15 points off the bench against the Miami Heat on Saturday night. Monk reached double figures for the third straight game, as he was five for 11 from the field, including 3-for-8 from beyond the arc in 25 minutes of action. However, he contributed just one assist and one rebound. It is nice to see the 2017 No. 11 draft pick, who is averaging 14.9 points and 3.0 treys a game, get off to a good start after a miserable rookie campaign. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard's fantasy value is highly dependent on him making shots, as he not shown the willingness to do much else early in his career. With Monk being the Hornets' main offensive threat off the bench, expect the 20-year-old to keep attempting around 12 shots a game over 25 minutes of action going forward.--Daniel Benjamin
