3 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays placed outfielder Manuel Margot (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list on Friday with a right hamstring strain. Relief pitcher Ralph Garza Jr. was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move. Margot has been dealing with the hamstring injury for about a week now, but he managed to play through the injury on Friday and Saturday, filling in as the team's designated hitter. The 27-year-old is off to a hot start to the 2022 season, slashing .348/.412/.500 with five stolen bases over 27 games. We could see Vidal Brujan and Brett Phillips earn increased playing time with Margot out.
