Manuel Margot To Miss "Significant" Time With Knee Sprain
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Manuel Margot (knee) suffered a right knee sprain in Monday night's game against the New York Yankees. The injury occurred in the ninth inning of the game after he collided with the right field wall while chasing down a triple that scored the go-ahead run. He was down on the ground in pain for several moments prior to being taken off the field on a cart. After the game, Rays manager Kevin Cash stated that Margot is expected to miss "significant" time. Both Margot and fellow outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (hip) will be landing on the injured list on Tuesday and Rays beat writer Marc Topkin reports that outfielder Luke Raley will be recalled in a corresponding move. Raley, Brett Phillips and Josh Lowe all stand to see a good amount of playing time in the coming weeks. Lowe is the most intriguing player of the group from a fantasy perspective and he's worth a waiver wire add if you need some outfield help.
