6 years agoMemphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol had a horrible offensive outing on Wednesday against the Blazers, but he made up for it with his defensive efforts. He shot only 4-for-15 from the field to finish with nine points, so Gasol had to find other ways to stay useful, and he did exactly that by registering six blocks. He also had seven rebounds and five assists in the game. Six swats is a massive number, but Gasol was actually still short of a career-high. He recorded eight blocks in April 2013, also against Portland. The big Spaniard will be out to enjoy Miami's poor interior defense next on Friday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
