5 years agoToronto Raptors center Marc Gasol will remain sidelined for Sunday’s game versus the San Antonio Spurs due to a left hamstring strain. He last suited up Dec. 16, with his absence likely to continue paving the way for Serge Ibaka to see significant minutes in the frontcourt. It has been a struggle in 2019-20 for Gasol, who has shot a career-low 36.4 percent from the floor in his 27 appearances this year. Head coach Nick Nurse was optimistic when listing Gasol as questionable, which should bode well for his return sooner rather than later. His next chance at playing comes Wednesday against Oklahoma City.--Jesse Borek
