6 years agoBoston Celtics point/shooting guard Marcus Smart delivered 19 points off the bench during Saturday’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Smart logged 25 minutes and was all over the box score, knocking down a trio of triples for just the third time this season, while also adding a pair of rebounds and assists. He had entered the night shooting just 27.6 percent from deep on the year, but with Gordon Hayward out of the lineup, Smart stepped up the scoring for the second unit. Still, he’s an unlikely fantasy candidate, as he simply can’t earn a bigger piece of the Celtics’ minutes pie for the time being.--Jesse Borek
