Marcus Smart Up In The Air For Monday's Game
4 years agoBoston Celtics point/shooting guard Marcus Smart (thumb) is deemed questionable to play in Monday's game versus the Raptors as he battles a sprained thumb on his shooting hand. Smart has begun the season dishing out a career-best 6.7 assists per game as he has served as Boston's primary distributor with Kemba Walker (knee) unavailable. Smart's value if he takes the floor Monday figures to increase with Jeff Teague (ankle) also sidelined. Should Smart be held out, Payton Pritchard would likely see a significant minutes jump, while Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum could be tasked with even larger offensive roles than usual. Check back prior to tip-off to get the final word on Smart's status.
