Mario Hezonja Logs First Career Triple-Double
6 years agoNew York Knicks point guard/small forward Mario Hezonja was tabbed as the team’s starting point guard for Friday’s loss to the Houston Rockets, which allowed him to log a game-high 42 minutes and finish with 16 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists, giving him the first triple-double of his professional career. Hezonja’s previous high in assists, seven, came as a rookie during 2015-16, while the 16 rebounds also set a new career best. With New York ravaged by injuries in the backcourt, Hezonja stands in line to see a pile of minutes over the final three games, clearly ready to capitalize on his opportunity.
