Markieff Morris Comes Up Big Late In Fourth Quarter
6 years agoWashington Wizards power forward/center Markieff Morris scored seven points and dished out one assist during a key final five-minute run in Tuesday night's game come-from-behind win over the Clippers. Morris finished with 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal along with one steal in 25 minutes off the bench. It was the fourth time that the 25-year-old has scored in double-figures in 12 November games despite making only three of 12 shots from the field, including two of six shots from beyond the arc. He is producing 8.1 points a game as he is shooting 35.4 percent from the field along with 25.0 percent on three-point attempts this month. Despite now coming off the bench, the former Kansas Jayhawk could see extended minutes, if Dwight Howard (glute) is unable to go once again, against the Raptors on Friday. Morris filled the stat sheet with 10 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks as well as two steals in 30 minutes versus the Raptors earlier this season.
