5 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward/center Markieff Morris has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies due to a right hip strain. His absence will likely pave the way for Christian Wood and Sekou Doumbouya to pick up an additional handful of minutes, although no single player figures to benefit immensely from Morris’ time spent on the sidelines. A solid source of scoring in deep season-long formats, Morris’ role with the team’s second unit is unlikely to remain unchanged moving forward. His next chance to return to the floor comes Wednesday against Phoenix.--Jesse Borek
