Markus Howard Sustains Knee Sprain, Out At Least Six Weeks
3 years agoDenver Nuggets point guard Markus Howard (knee) has been diagnosed with a sprained left knee, an ailment that will keep him out for at least the next six weeks before the team's training staff further evaluates him. Howard, once a prolific scorer at Marquette during his college days, has been utilized sparingly off the bench by Denver once the past two years; this season, he has shot just 35.5 percent overall while averaging 4.3 points per game. The Nuggets' backcourt has been down Jamal Murray (knee) all season, but Monte Morris has emerged as a sound season-long asset, while Bones Hyland and Facundo Campazzo have shown flashes of being DFS upside plays on given occasions.
