Marvin Bagley Debuts With Six Points Off Bench
6 years agoSacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley finished with six points over 12 minutes off the bench in his regular-season NBA debut on Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz. He was a solid 3-for-6 from the field while chipping in with five rebounds and no turnovers. It looked like he might be plugged into the starting five initially, but Nemanja Bjelica drew the start instead next to Willie Cauley-Stein, perhaps to not overwhelm the rookie against the big frontcourt of the Jazz. Bagley held his own when given the chance to play, but Bjelica really excelled in a starting role. The rookie's fantasy appeal in redraft formats will be rather limited until he is starting.
