6 years agoAtlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant (undisclosed) will not play Friday. Officially it is being called a coach's decision, but Bryant has missed practice. He did manage to kick somewhere in the region of 15 balls on Wednesday. However, head coach Dan Quinn has decided it is not worth risking Bryant getting injured further. Bryant is the all-time leading scorer with 1,029 points and is considered safe on the roster. However, any time someone else gets game time is always a concern for a player in the NFL. For now drafting Bryant is an unnecessary risk, given there is a slim chance he may not be on the roster.--Ben Rolfe
