Matt Fitzpatrick No Stranger To The Country Club
2 years agoMatt Fitzpatrick is one of the few players who comes into the U.S. Open at The Country Club with any prior success at the venue. Fitzpatrick won the 2013 U.S Amateur at The Country Club, jump starting his professional career in golf. Looking at this season, Fitzpatrick has racked up three top-10 finishes in his last four starts, highlighted by a T2 finish at the Wells Fargo Championship in early May. Although Fitzpatrick is yet to have much success in his career at the U.S. Open, this might be the perfect week for Fitzpatrick. This season Fitzpatrick is hitting well over 64% of fairways, good enough for 40th best on the PGA Tour. Pairing that with the fact Fitzpatrick sits no lower than 25th in the six major strokes gained categories this season, this could be a special week for Fitzpatrick. His DFS price is more than fair and should be considered a steal in this 2022 U.S. Open field.
