6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Matt Moore will pitch out of the bullpen for the foreseeable future. Moore has been moved to make room for Yohander Mendez, who will make his first career start Friday. With the Rangers now looking towards the future, it appears Moore is unlikely to be part of that future, at least in the rotation. Moore, who had a 5.88 ERA in 174 1/3 innings with the Giants in 2017, has a 7.88 ERA this season. The best-case scenario for Moore is that he becomes a lights-out relief pitcher who can work his way into high-leverage roles. Moore should not be owned in any fantasy baseball formats right now.--Ben Rolfe
