3 years agoMatt Wallace will make his first career start at Torrey Pines at this week's US Open. Wallace has missed a couple cuts at the US Open and finished T12 in 2019. He is solid with approach shots, ranking 17th in strokes gained approaching the green. Wallace is a decent putter but will need to scramble more effectively if he wants to put himself in contention. There are things to like about Wallace's game, but he seems to have more downside than upside this week. --Connor Wege
