4 years agoMatthew Fitzpatrick can take a lot of positives from his T5 finish last week at Riviera. His short game was stellar, gaining over 5.5 strokes on and around the green, giving him his first top-10 finish since August of 2020. Fitzpatrick will look to stay hot with his wedges, currently ranking 26th in strokes gained approaching the green and 31st in approach shots from 50 to 125 yards. He will need to play a bit better on the Par 5's to put himself in contention, but he should enter this week with a lot of confidence. --Connor Wege
