Matthew Liberatore, Jarren Duran Not On Olympic Roster
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Matthew Liberatore and Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran will not be a part of Team USA at the Tokyo Olympics, according to a press release from USA Baseball. This comes as somewhat of a surprise, as it had seemed like they would both make the final cut for the team. It's not a guarantee, but it's possible the reason they were left off of the roster was because the Cardinals and Red Sox denied permission for them to compete in the Olympics due to plans to have them promoted to the majors in the near future. At this point that's just speculation, but managers in redraft leagues may want to look into stashing Liberatore and Duran in case they do get called up, as they could be impact players in most formats.
