3 years agoMax Homa has two career appearances at TPC Scottsdale, finishing sixth in 2020 and 26th in 2019. Homa seems to be picking up a bit of momentum with two top-20 finishes in his last three starts. He is averaging over 300 yards in driving distance but is hitting fairways at a rate of just over 54 percent. However, he seems to be taking advantage of his driving distance on par-5's with a stroke average of 4.45. His iron play has been inconsistent this season and appears to be the most concerning part of his game heading into this week. Homa could be a decent play if he continues to build on his recent momentum, but he definitely carries some risk.--Connor Wege
