7 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates are making use of their hitting depth on Wednesday. Max Moroff will make his first appearance at second base since being called up to the majors. David Freese and Sean Rodriguez also get starts against the left-handed Kyle Freeland. Ironically, Freese has actually been better when facing right-handed pitchers this season, but in his career his batting average is slightly higher when facing lefties. Rodriguez hit his sole home run this season off of a left-handed pitcher.--Ben Rolfe
