Max Strus Lands In League’s Health And Safety Protocols
3 years agoMiami Heat shooting guard/small forward Max Strus was added to the league's health and safety protocols just prior to tip-off Tuesday vs. Washington, ruling him out indefinitely. Strus has enjoyed a resurgent December, specifically over his past five games, which have seen him average 22.6 points and 5.2 boards per outing while shooting 44.4% from behind the arc. Strus' absence stands to pave the way for Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent to enjoy increased usage, while Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler stand to take on an even larger offensive workload for the time being. While absences to key players largely fueled Strus' rise into the Miami rotation, he will be worth a look as a waiver wire addition once he rejoins the mix due to his deadeye shooting (40.4% from three) thus far in 2021-22.
