Michael Fulmer Dominates Twins on Thursday
7 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer had it all working in a win on Thursday, scattering five hits and allowing just one walk and one earned run across seven innings. He also added four punchouts, and you could say he made it look easy as he stifled the scuffling Twins offense. The only blemish on his day came in the first inning when Eduardo Escobar knocked in an RBI single. Fulmer has now notched two very nice starts in a row and will aim to improve on his 4.13 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 62/37 K/BB ratio when he takes on the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. He has the talent to be a factor in deeper or AL-only leagues, but will need to improve on his consistency in order to become a starting pitcher that can be trusted.
