Michael Kopech Leaves Game Early Monday
2 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Michael Kopech (knee) left his start early on Monday against the Kansas City Royals with left knee soreness and is being evaluated further. Kopech didn't make it very far in this one, getting pulled after allowing all four batters he faced to reach base on just 19 pitches. The 26-year-old right-hander was charged with four earned runs allowed on one hit, two walks and a hit batter. It remains to be seen if Kopech will make his next scheduled start on Saturday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Entering his start on Monday, Kopech had a solid 3.25 ERA, a 1.18 WHIP and a 98:53 K:BB in 110 2/3 innings over 22 starts for the Pale Hose.
