3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Michael Kopech (illness) is throwing a bullpen session on Wednesday and will move to two innings of live batting practice on Friday. Kopech had COVID-19 this winter and is a bit behind the other pitchers in camp, but he still has a chance to be ready by Opening Day. The White Sox will surely take it easy on the 25-year-old right-hander, though, after he missed all of the 2019 and 2020 seasons and only tossed 69 1/3 innings last year while working mostly out of the bullpen. Kopech has a ton of long-term upside, but he'll almost certainly be on a strict innings cap in 2022, limiting his fantasy ceiling in redraft leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
