6 years agoTampa Bay Rays catcher Michael Perez will start his second game in as many days since being acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks Wednesday. It would appear that Perez has immediately become the Rays first-choice catcher, at least until Wilson Ramos returns from injury. At Triple-A for the Diamondbacks, Perez had six home runs and a .284 batting average. In two-catcher formats Perez makes for an interesting deeper addition, especially if you need some short term cover until Ramos returns from the disabled list.--Ben Rolfe
