4 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman and outfielder Miguel Andujar was optioned to the team’s alternate site on Saturday. Andujar has been shuttled between the team’s alternate site and the MLB lineup frequently this season, but Saturday’s move was relatively surprising with Aaron Judge (calf), Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring), and Gleyber Torres (hamstring, quad) all sidelined. Notably, Andujar’s move means that the Yankees are keeping top prospect Estevan Florial on the major league roster, though Florial is unlikely to see everyday playing time.--Sam Chinitz
