Miguel Cabrera Shouldn't Miss Time With Back Injury
7 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera (back) exited Tuesday night's contest with the Orioles after the eighth inning with what club sources called "lower back tightness." Following the game, manager Ron Gardenhire explained that Miggy's back tightened up in the cold weather, and the early exit was simply precautionary. That should bring a sigh of relief to fantasy owners, since Cabrera dealt with two herniated discs for most of last season and any new injuries to his back would seriously limit his productivity. Miggy is already off to a slow start as it is, hitting just .235 with one homer thus far.
