Miguel Sano Swats Two Bombs In Loss
5 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano provided the only offense for the Twins in their 6-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Friday night. Sano hit 2-for-4 with two two-run homers and a walk in the game. For the year, Sano is hitting .207/.292/.537 with 11 home runs, 19 RBI, 22 runs scored, and a 56/15 K/BB ratio. Sano is an interesting player to analyze, as his batting average, on-base percentage, strikeout rate (40.9%), and wOBA (.328) are all terrible, but his slugging percentage, ISO (.331), hard hit rate (51.5%), and walk rate (10.9%) all look really nice. Sano should continue to start most games with the Twins running into a rash of injuries lately, but he's tough to start in fantasy unless your league doesn't count batting average. Leave him on the wire in all but the deepest leagues until he shows some plate discipline and any semblance of hitting for average.
