Mike Boone Disappoints In Spot Start
5 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Mike Boone carried 11 times for 28 yards in Week 16's 23-10 defeat against the Green Bay Packers. He added one catch for five yards. Boone, drawing the start with Dalvin Cook (shoulder) and Alexander Mattison (ankle) out, failed to deliver and was phased out of the offense entirely in the second half with the Vikings playing from behind. This was a case of a golden opportunity being completely squandered as Boone wasn't able to do anything with his 12 touches against a defense that has been favorable for running backs this season. Cook and Mattison both remain question mark's for Week 17, so Boone could be in line for another start. He would again be in the RB2 mix if both were to miss another contest.
