6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Mike Minor will take the mound Tuesday against the Oakland Athletics. This will be Minor's first outing in eight days as he has not pitched since before the All-Star break. Interestingly Minor has been significantly better at home than on the road this year. In 61 innings at home, he has a 3.54 ERA and a .223 batting average against. However, Minor has yet to face the Athletics, who have some hitters that are having good seasons against left-handed pitchers, including dominating fellow lefty Cole Hamels Monday. Given that Minor is not a must-start, the current hot weather in Texas makes me lean away from using him in DFS on Tuesday.--Ben Rolfe
