6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Mike Minor improved his 2018 record to 11-7 with a victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. Minor only managed to go the mandatory five innings but his performance was enough to get the win. In those five innings, Minor struck out seven while giving up two earned runs, on three hits and one walk. Minor himself may not have been impressed with the outing but it did improve his season ERA to 4.31. Minor is still transitioning from reliever to starter so every good outing is a promising sign for the Rangers heading into 2019. Pitching in Texas will always be tough for Minor fantasy wise. However, it is possible a strong finish to 2018 would see him traded this offseason, which would likely provide to a boost to his fantasy value.--Ben Rolfe
