Mitch Garver Hits Eighth Bomb
6 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver was 1-for-1 at the plate in Friday night's 6-0 win over the Detroit Tigers, blasting his eighth home run of the year on a two-run shot in the fourth inning. He also drew three walks and scored another run in a very productive night for the starting catcher. Garver is sporting a ridiculous .364/.440/.788 slash line, adding eight home runs, 16 RBI and 17 runs scored on the year. He's also rocking a .385 ISO and an impressive 45.8 hard-hit percentage (66th in MLB). At this point, Garver has surpassed being a hot pickup in two-catcher leagues and needs to be on your radar in all formats given how shallow the position is.
