Mitchell Robinson Ruled Out For Monday’s Contest
3 years agoNew York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (ankle) will be unavailable to play in Monday's game against the Cavaliers due to a sprained left ankle that he sustained during Sunday's outing. Robinson was held to just 16 minutes due to the ailment, with his absence paving the way for Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson to take on significant frontcourt minutes, in addition to Julius Randle having elevated rebounding duties. Robinson has enjoyed his most consistent stretch of production during January, averaging 11.5 points and 8.9 boards across 10 contests, delivering a double-double in four of those outings. His next chance to return to action comes Wednesday vs. Miami.
