Mitchell Robinson Undergoes Hand Surgery, Out 4-6 Weeks
4 years agoNew York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (hand) will miss the next 4-6 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a broken right hand that he sustained during Friday's win over Washington. Robinson has started all 27 games at center for the Knicks this season, averaging 8.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per contest, while shooting 66 percent overall. His absence likely paves the way for Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson to see increased run, but Julius Randle could also factor in as the team's center on occasion. Barring a prevalence of open IR slots, Robinson can likely be left to the waiver wire in most season-long formats as he heals up for a second half return.
