Mo Bamba Will Miss Saturday’s Contest
3 years agoOrlando Magic center Mo Bamba (back) is a late scratch for Saturday's game vs. Cleveland due to back spasms. Bamba had reportedly been battling the issue throughout the day before being cleared, but the Magic have pumped the brakes and will instead elect to start Robin Lopez in place of the 23-year-old. The absence from Bamba will be his first of the year, having averaged 10.8 points and 9.1 rebounds across his first 20 games, which included eight double-doubles. Wendell Carter Jr. stands to see some additional frontcourt run in Bamba's absence, as he starts alongside Lopez, who could have some punt play DFS appeal in his own right. Bamba's next chance to suit up comes Monday against the 76ers.
