4 years agoOrlando Magic center Mohamed Bamba (hip) has been ruled out for Friday's contest against the Raptors due a bruised hip. Bamba attempted to warm-up with the ailment hampering him, but the team has ultimately decided to keep him inactive. Averaging 12.4 points off the bench over a nine-game stretch prior to the injury, Bamba has emerged in the haze of the Nikola Vucevic trade that revamped the team's frontcourt. Teetering on fantasy viability, Bamba will need to prove that he's both healthy and capable of handling increased minutes in order to become a waiver wire snag. His next chance to play comes Sunday versus Houston.--Jesse Borek
