6 years agoDenver Nuggets point guard Monte Morris saw a career-high 34 minutes during Saturday’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Morris has seen his role increase as the season has gone on, culminating in a strong performance Saturday where he posted 13 points, five assists and three rebounds while shooting 6-for-7 from the field. There may be a ways to go to supplanting Jamal Murray for starting point guard duties, but Morris seems to have found a consistent role in the rotation that goes beyond normal backup point guard minutes.--Jesse Borek
