Mookie Betts Continues To Be Sidelined
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (hip) will miss his third consecutive game with a hip injury on Wednesday versus the Philadelphia Phillies. Betts recently returned to the lineup on August 1, but has renewed discomfort in his hip and returning to the injured list is still an option. With Betts sidelined, outfielder Cody Bellinger will replace Betts on Wednesday and bat sixth versus Kyle Gibson. Bellinger has been having a weak year at the plate, but has hit in six consecutive games with two homers during that span. More should be known on the status of Betts as the day goes on, but the Dodgers have every reason to be cautious with their star outfielder.
