Myles Turner Sets Season High With Five Blocked Shots
5 years agoIndiana Pacers center Myles Turner led the league in blocked shots per game (2.7) last season, and after a somewhat slow start to 2019-20 by his standards, he recorded his first five-block game of the year during Monday’s win over the Memphis Grizzlies. While Turner was quiet offensively (3-for-5 shooting for seven points), his presence on the defensive end of the floor was difference making. With vastly more mouths to feed on offense this season for Indiana, Turner has focused on becoming the defensive anchor, adding four rebounds and two assists across his 30 minutes Monday. He has now reeled off a combined 15 blocks over his last four games, looking to continue that strong stretch Wednesday versus Utah.
