Nelson Cruz Has Monster Day At Plate
5 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz broke out the big bat in Saturday's 10-3 win over the Chicago White Sox. Cruz hit 4-for-5 with two homers, a double, and five RBI to propel the Twins to their 53rd win of the season. He blasted a two-run shot off Ivan Nova in the first inning and another two-run bomb in the ninth inning off Jose Ruiz. On the season, Cruz is hitting .284/.374/.564 with 15 home runs, 44 RBI, and 34 runs scored. He is tearing the cover off the ball, as he usually does, with a 55.3% hard-hit rate, 93.6 MPH average exit velocity, and 10.1% barrels/PA. Continue to start Cruz in all fantasy formats, especially now that he seems to have his power stroke all the way back - he hit .306/.404/.647 with eight homers in the month of June.
