New Orleans Releases Sindarius Thornwell
4 years agoShooting guard Sindarius Thornwell was released by the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, ending his two-year tenure with the organization. Thornwell played sporadically this year for New Orleans, averaging just 1.4 PPG across 11 contests. After starting 17 games as a rookie for the Clippers back in 2017-18, Thornwell has struggled to earn a consistent role on an NBA roster. His contract would have become guaranteed for the remainder of the year had he remained with the Pelicans through Wednesday, giving him a chance to find a new home for the second half of the year. He can remain on the waiver wire in all season-long formats.
