3 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks placed shortstop Nick Ahmed on the injured list with an undisclosed injury on Monday. A move to the injured list without an injury designation typically means the move was COVID-related. However, Ahmed has also been dealing with right shoulder issues this year, so the move to the injured list could be related to that. The team called up fellow infielder Jake Hager from Triple-A to take Ahmed's roster spot. Ahmed has played in 17 games so far this year and he's slashed .231/.259/.442 with three home runs, seven RBI and seven runs scored.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
