3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Nick Anderson (elbow) underwent elbow surgery and is not expected to pitch until after the 2022 All-Star break. He will be shut down for the next three to four months. The Rays right-hander was sidelined most of 2021 with a torn elbow ligament. Anderson led the Rays with six saves in 2020 and owned a 26:3 K: BB over 16 1/3 innings. Tampa Bay will turn to Pete Fairbanks or Andrew Kittredge as the team's primary closer in 2022. Fantasy managers in deep-league dynasty formats can stash Anderson for now.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
