4 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Senzel is on the bench to begin Monday’s contest versus Milwaukee and right-hander Brandon Woodruff. Since being activated off of the injured list (undisclosed), Senzel has been a part-time player for the Reds, at best. With Shogo Akiyama and Nick Castellanos holding down near everyday roles at the corner outfield slots, Brian Goodwin has been utilized primarily against right-handed pitching over Senzel. While there is undoubtedly a future for the former top prospect in the Cincinnati outfield, his season-long outlook over the final week isn’t promising as his playing time continues to be heavily encroached upon.--Jesse Borek
