7 years agoCharlotte Hornets guard Nicolas Batum played well during the 104-102 win over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night. Batum scored 14 points on 5-for-11 from the field in addition to an efficient 4-for-7 from deep. He also had seven assists, five boards and nabbed away a steal. As the trade deadline came and went, Batum still remains on a team that was willing to part with guard Kemba Walker in order to expunge themselves of Batum's remaining four years on his mega-contract. With the All-Star break ahead, Batum will look to improve on his subpar production in the second half of the season, beginning with the Brooklyn Nets in a little over a week.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
