7 years agoCharlotte Hornets guard/forward Nicolas Batum was 3-for-10 for 10 points in a win against Chicago on Tuesday. Luckily for his owners, Batum has really rounded into form and found other ways to fill the stat sheet. Against Chicago, Batum led the team in assists (12) and rebounds (seven). When his shot is on, Batum is a top-20 player. When his shot is off, thanks to the other categories, he is a top-50 player. If you showed patience with Batum, kudos to you because he is more than making up for a terrible first half of the year. The Hornets take on Boston on Wednesday. The Celtics are one of the stingiest defenses in the NBA, so look for Batum to struggle again to score, but find other ways to contribute.--Wai Sallas
