3 years agoLA Clippers power forward Nicolas Batum (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Nets due to a sprained right ankle. Batum has been limited to just 19 games (16 starts) for the Clippers this season, with his absence coming at a crucial time as the team could be down as many as four starters vs. Brooklyn. Traditionally viewed as a season-long category league asset due to his contributions, Batum has dished out just 1.5 assists per game this season, on pace to set his lowest mark since 2011-12. His absence should funnel more minutes in the direction of Serge Ibaka, who could pop up on DFS radars should Marcus Morris Sr. (conditioning) also be held out.--Jesse Borek
