Niko Goodrum Activated From Injured List
3 years agoThe Detroit Tigers activated infielder Niko Goodrum (groin) from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday. The 29-year-old is batting .224 with a .304 on-base percentage, six home runs, and 12 stolen bases so far this season. Goodrum can certainly contribute with some stolen bases, but he's also striking out 35.4% of the time, which limits his fantasy upside. He's probably only an option in deeper leagues right now. Manager A.J. Hinch has played Goodrum at five different positions this season, but the veteran might not be a lock to start every day if the Tigers continue to give younger players like Zack Short, Willi Castro, and Derek Hill regular starts.
